The most essential difference between seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe is the weld seam . The body of seamless pipe has no weld seam, and the body of welded pipe is usually welded.
Seamless pipes refer to steel pipes without joints, which are steel pipes without joints that are rolled by piercing the center of round bars.
Welded pipe is a steel pipe with a weld seam. The steel plate is rolled into a cylindrical shape and welded, and then drawn and other processes are used to make a steel pipe with an inconspicuous weld seam.


Seamless steel pipe: smooth surface, no welds, good integrity, beautiful appearance.
Welded pipe: Since it is made by welding, the weld can be clearly seen on its surface. However, with the advancement of technology, some welded steel pipes will be welded to make the weld less obvious.
Performance characteristics
Seamless steel pipe: Since there is no weld, its pressure bearing capacity is usually high, suitable for harsh environments such as high pressure and high temperature.
