Making Process Of Structural Galvanized Steel Pipe
Yuantai Derun makes structural galvanised steel pipes using two processes. One is hot-dip galvanizing, the other is pre-galvanizing and forming welding. Here are the main steps of the hot-dip galvanizing process:
1. Treatment of the surface: Clean the metal to remove dirt, oil stains and rust.
2. Acid washing: Acid wash the metal to remove any remaining oxides or contaminants.
3. Flux: Immerse the metal in a flux solution to remove any remaining oxides and prevent further oxidation during galvanising.
4. Galvanising: Galvanise the metal in a bath of molten zinc at 840 °F (449 °C). Zinc forms a coating on iron or steel.
5. Precision machining: Then cool the galvanised metal and treat it with a chromate conversion coating or other precision machining to improve its appearance and durability.
